The best place to start is at the beginning...

Kelly-Anne and Rachel met as kindergartners. By a twist of fate, they lived three doors down from each other in a suburb of Montreal's West Island. Some of the best memories of their childhood friendship include swimming pools, elaborate games, Mrs. Heaton (our awesome third grade teacher), and hanging out in the backyard with our parents for big neighboorhood parties. Kelly-Anne and Rachel knew they had something special and so they continued to nurture this friendship through the turbulent years of high school, college, and working life. Kelly-Anne's life came to an end on October 3, 2004, when she was tragically murdered by her boyfriend. This blog is Rachel's attempt to honor Kelly-Anne's memory and give her best friend the kind of tribute she deserves.
